Mobile multimedia services aims to combine the Internet, telephones, and broadcast media into a single device. To achieve this, IMT-2000 systems have been designed with six broad classes of service in mind. In order of increasing data rate:
Mobile TV - Watching TV on your mobile device. It inclueds simple broadcast, TV on-demand, podcasting and mobisodes

Interactive Voting - Vote for your favourite Big Brother contestant with a single click on your mobile
Interactive TV - Video interaction with live TV, using your mobile device
Citizen and journalist reporting - Enabling users to report on breaking news or events by using a mobile device, providing a live video feed to broadcasters
Video messaging - Enhanced video communication and entertainment services such as videomail, video speed dating and video karaoke
Advertising
Interactive - User controls the level of advertising exploration. For example banners, tickers and flash video
Location based - Using Global Positioning System (GPS) functionality to geographically target specific demographic groups. For example
send targeted advertising to all people attending a concert
Personalised/relevant - Providing subsidised or discounted services
based on customer preferences. For example, opt-in ads based on
personal interest, incentives, search, etc.
